USB connection
Connect the DualShock 4 with a data-capable micro-USB cable. If the controller charges but does not appear, try another cable or USB port because some cables carry power only.
DUALSHOCK 4 · LOCAL BROWSER OBSERVATIONS
Use this PS4 controller calibration page over USB or Bluetooth to observe stick centers, rotation ranges, and trigger travel. Follow the transparent measurement stages below without changing device settings.
Waiting for browser input
Confirm semantic roles, then collect center, stick-range, and trigger-sweep observations. Each result stays scoped to one device, connection epoch, and confirmed mapping.
No controllers detected.
Browsers expose a controller after it sends an input. Keep this page active, then press a physical controller button.

The report is created in this browser and downloaded directly to your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Raw controller samples are excluded unless you opt in. At most 5,000 samples are included.
Device-specific guide
This PS4 calibration workflow separates center rest, left and right stick rotation, and individual trigger sweeps. Each result comes from values exposed by the browser during that stage. Skipped or incomplete evidence stays labeled instead of being filled with an estimate.
Connect the DualShock 4 with a data-capable micro-USB cable. If the controller charges but does not appear, try another cable or USB port because some cables carry power only.
Pair the controller in the operating system first, then return to this page. Keep the connection stable and avoid switching between Bluetooth and USB during a measurement stage.
01
Press a controller button to activate browser detection, select the intended device, and check its mapping. With a standard mapping, confirm the displayed input roles directly. With a non-standard mapping, assign the manual axis and trigger roles shown by the tool, then confirm.
02
Place the controller on a stable surface, release both sticks, and keep them untouched throughout the five-second center-rest stage.
03
Rotate the left stick and then the right stick around their outer edges at least twice, moving steadily through cardinal and diagonal directions.
04
Start with each trigger fully released, press it smoothly to its observed maximum, and return it to the released position before finishing the stage.
In a DualShock 4 calibration, a center offset shows how far the browser-observed resting position sits from zero. A suggested dead zone is only a software starting point for games or apps that provide their own control.
Coverage and circularity describe the observed rotation, not the physical shape of the mechanism. Missing sectors can come from motion, mapping, transport, or hardware behavior.
Minimum, maximum, and distinct-value observations describe the completed sweep. A short or interrupted press can leave the stage incomplete instead of proving a trigger fault.

Results reflect Gamepad API values after the connection, driver, mapping, operating-system processing, browser scheduling, and page timing. This page does not write controller, firmware, driver, or operating-system settings, and it does not repair hardware. This independent utility is not affiliated with or certified by Sony.
Confirm the operating system sees the device, keep this tab active, press a controller button, and retry. For USB, use a data cable; for Bluetooth, remove a stale pairing before pairing again.
Keep the same controller and connection selected for the whole stage. Rest both sticks before center sampling, rotate close to every outer direction, and sweep each trigger from released to pressed and back to released.

No. The page only reads values exposed through the browser and does not write controller, firmware, driver, game, or operating-system settings.
Either can expose the controller to a compatible browser. Use one stable connection for the full workflow and compare transports in separate runs if the observations differ.
Treat it as a starting point only in a game or application that already offers a dead-zone setting, then verify the result in that software.
